After the successful organisation of innovative training courses in 2006, the Swiss Proteomic Society Committee has confirmed its choice to organise a congress every second year. So here we are back in Lausanne with an outstanding scientific programme and unprecedented events! The SPS07 congress will focus on the present limitations in the field of proteomics, and in particular on how can we go beyond the limits.

Presentations will cover areas such as:

• Pre-analytics
• Post-translational modifications
• Membrane proteomics
• In vivo proteomics
• Biomarkers discovery
• Bioinformatics and statistics

Presentations by an international panel of speakers will address these and other important issues, in order to give a clear picture of the directions of proteomics research in which we can push the limits.

It is possible to submit your abstract for the congress by 24 September. By registering before 15 October, you will benefit from reduced fees for participating in this year's congress, as well as for the short courses and gala diner. Further details can be found on the webpage.
